Anger is a universal emotion and helps you distinguish between an emotional reaction and an emotional response. Anger is a reaction that’s built into your nervous system.  All cultures around the globe have anger in their peoples as an integral part of day-to-day life.

Cause of anger

These are following leading cause of anger

1-Taking wrong type of drugs even legal drugs that can alter brain chemistry and can lead to anger. Here is a list of some drugs: Tranquilizers (such as Valium), Cocaine, Chemical inhalants, Phencyclidine (PCP), Hypnotics, Sedatives, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine etc.

 2-you have high blood pressure or are you currently being treated for high blood pressure?

 3-You may have high cholesterol in blood. Are you currently being treated for high level of cholesterol in blood?  You have obesity problem.

4 – Depression: If you have dissatisfaction with life that cause deep emotions such as sadness and anger. It is well known fact that depression and anger are closely linked to each other. Either way, anger is a big part of your sickness.

5Genetic reason: Your parents and other ancestors may have high blood pressure and anger issues. Genetics and your body’s ability to deal with certain chemicals and hormones also play a role in how you deal with anger; if your brain doesn’t react normally to serotonin, you might find it more difficult to manage your emotions.

6 – You have an aggressive personality in nature –

You have an aggressive personality if you are competitive, like to dominate others, impatient, intense, demanding, confrontational and forceful in pursuing goals.

6- You may have a hard time saying what’s on your mind, but have no trouble. Whatsoever lashing out emotionally

Types of anger

1- Chronic anger: which is prolonged, can influence the immune system and be the purpose of

different intellectual disorders.


2 -Passive anger: This doesn’t constantly come throughout as anger and can be hard to identify.


3 -Overwhelmed anger:  Which is induced via lifestyles needs that are too a good deal for a character to cope with.


4-Self-inflicted anger: This is directed towards the self and can also be prompted via emotions of guilt.


5-Judgmental anger: this is directed towards others and can also come with emotions of resentment.

Anger is birthright –

We are born with a ability for anger. Mothers noticed anger in newborns early as three months of age. Anger is not some thing that has to be realized or earned, like cash or friendship. Anger is our birthright.

Anger is protect us from danger by producing instantaneous amount of adrenaline

The E in emotion stands for “energy.” Anger produces an instantaneous surge of adrenaline is a triple F (Fight, Flight and fright) hormone which causes your pupils to dilate, your heart beat increases, your blood pressure increases very fast and your breathing rate accelerate.  The hairs on the back of your neck stand up! Your liver responds by increasing sugar, and blood starts flowing from your internal organs to your skeletal muscles, causing a state of tension. Your body got energizes and prepared for action. You should know though, that emotions are short lived, they come and go. So, it is imperative that you strike while the iron is (literally) hot and use the angry energy to your benefit before it evaporates.

Anger act like as a catalyst for new type of behavior

There are thing that you want will to change in your life but you are uncertain about what will happen in your new carrier, new place, and new better life. Anger act like catalyst to accelerate these actions.

Anger protects you from harm

Anger is a vital part of that built-in “fight-or-flight” response that helps you adapt to and survive life’s challenges. Anger is the fight component the part that moves you to take offensive measures to defend yourself against actual threats.

Anger is an antidote to end laziness in our life

 Many people become very lazy in his life, so sometimes anger produced by any humiliating activity, very strong need, very emotional moment act like antidote to end laziness in the life.

Anger brings about a positive change in our life:

Constructive anger is used to assert one’s authority, to achieve independence, and to get another person to do something that’s good for him. If you’re a parent, have you ever gotten angry with your child when he/she is doing something bad that will harm him in his/her life.

We can understand our inner word by anger:

 Mirror is real face of anger, it does not have any character, and it doesn’t destroy it. It simply shows your character. Anger tells to world about your personality. What do you want to achieve in your life. Close your eyes and imagine what did my anger say about me in that situation? Here are some possible answers: My anger says that –

 I am a selfish person, immoral, impatient, dominating in nature, greedy, my life is not calm, pessimist, apathetic etc.

You will feel that you may be overload by such a negative believe thought. Life is very short, now we have to rectify these thought.   

How to control anger

You can control your anger by trying the following:

1 – Don’t think anger of the incident or situation very serious than it is. It will continuously hurt you and the result; your ager will increase your anger.

2 – Don’t take every incident personally. It may be a coincident.

3- Don’t blame the other person for every incident. If you start blaming other person for every incident then it starts increasing anger. Just let it go.

4 – Don’t think about revenge –

Mahatma Gandhi said if on revenge: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. Revenge exhausts your internal energy. Never think about revenge. It can distract you from the goal.

5 – Never accept yourself as a helpless victim.

Take some type of action torectify annoying situation. It does not matter, how difficult is the situation.

6 – Don’t be in a negative mood like sadness, depression. It magnifies your emotion, as the result annoying situation will intensifies.

7- Find a quiet setting where you can be alone for at least ten minutes and take deep breath at least 10 to 12 times. Take the breath for a moment by your nostrils and now, exhale in an exaggerated way through your mouth.

8 – Examine your pre imagery level of anger and rate it from1( mild level of anger ) to 12(extreme level) .

9- Imagine about the very pleasurable incident that happens with you. Think something about positive incident.

10 – Exercise daily

When you do exercise then it produces a hormone endorphin that makes you happy and lower down   level of stress hormone.

11 – Make distance from nicotine congaing product such as chewing of tobacco, smoking cigarette. Nicotine increases your blood pressure in your blood vessel and increases level of anger.

12 – Take decent sound sleep. Insomnia increases level of stress and for the sound sleep you should not take tea / coffee after 4 pm.

13 – Identify the thing, person, negative thought and bad incident that triggered your anger. So next time you should aware from these bad incident.

14 – Imagine that you are flushing your anger. You can also  imagine that you are firing your anger in the sky and it continuously going away from you.

15 – Anger is a choice of our mind

 You should be very firm on your choice. Just imagine that you are in front of your boss, magistrate or police personnel etc.  In that situation you will not show your anger on those places. You know that there will be disastrous result.

16 – Imagining yourself in another positive situation, imagine yourself in the same situation that caused your anger, but without any feelings of anger.

17 – Read anger management related stories that give a strong message related to bad effects of anger.

18 – Watch anger management related, movies, TV serial and funny videos.   

19 – You should be very aware about your thought. Always introspect about your thought by doing yoga.

20 – You can listen your favorite song, healing music to reduce your anger and calm your mind.
